It has been years and years since I have written any kind of poetry at all. On a whim, I decided to try the Writing: 201 Poetry Course from Blogging University. I like challenges and I like trying new things. I always learn so much. This fits both those categories. So, here is my first poem, a haiku. It still needs a title.
Thundering droplets Reflection of reasoning Prismatic, then whole

Also, the first time I wrote a poem was when I was around 7 or 8. Of course, it was from the perspective of a 7 year old, where rhyming was an extremely important component of a poem, but nevertheless, it was a poem.

I love reading my 7 year old’s writing. It is so fresh and honest. Rhyming or no rhyming, I bet yours had that same honesty.
